Event Publishing

Webonizer sites come equipped with a powerful event and calendar tool that allows you to publish events that visitors can find with visual calendars and event search forms. To add an event you must login to your account; if you have permission to post events (as set by the site administrator), you will see a link called “Add an Event” in your Control Panel and one called “Events Admin” in your links panel.

An explanation of the form fields follows:

Event Date & Time
Use the menu to set the date for your event. If the event is scheduled only for a single day, you only need to enter a start date. If your event spans several days, give the event an end date.
Weekday Operations
For events that span many days, you must select the weekdays that your event is in operation. For example, click Saturday and Sunday if your event only goes on during weekends.
Event Address
There are several address fields. Most are self-explanatory. If you are using a JavaScript-enabled browser, the state menu will change depending on the country you select. Take note of the Fixed Location checkbox. When checked, your event will include a map generator. When checked, you must also include a city and venue address for the event.
Event Details

The event details are straightforward. The title is a required field that gives your event a title on its detail page. The host is also required. The host can be the venue, host or sponsor of an event.

The cost is a text field where you can enter a cost. Note that you should enter the currency and other details, such as different prices for different ages. If left blank, the event will display “No Cost”.

The age is the minimum age for the event. If left blank, the event will display “All Ages”.

Participants are the main attractions at the event. Enter a comma separated list.

The Site Topic menu decides what pages to display the event on in the site.

The Info field is where you enter the complete details of the event. Some HTML is allowed.

Administrators also see the review flags options to feature the event or give it other flags.
