Print Publication Wizard

The Webonizer Publication Wizard allows webmasters to easily create print publication materials off of their website content. The system creates XML files that can be imported into publication software such as Corel Ventura and other programs that allow XML imports.
The Print Publication Wizard can be found in Site Links. The wizard will walk you through the steps in collecting documents to print.
Step 1: Document Types
In step 1 you will decide the types of documents that your publication will include. The current core document types are:
- Articles
- Events
- Users
Other document types can appear if custom plugins are running in the site.
Step 2: Include Options
Choose the information that will be included with your documents. By default, a document’s title and main content is always included. Other options are explained below:
- Description
- This is usually a brief description of the document. You may want to select this option to include a description in a table of contents.
- Byline
- The byline is the name of the author of the document. Such an option is appropriate for publications including documents authored by multiple authors.
- Images
- If selected, XML information to include images belonging to the document. This option not yet implemented.
- Post-Date
- This is the date that this document was posted on the website. This option not yet implemented.
- URL
- This option includes the URL (link) to where this document is located on the Internet.
Step 3: Get Documents
Step three starts the collection of documents to include in the publication. Links will be present to send you to the pages that allow you to search for documents to include. You must browse your site and look for the button that adds documents to the publication you are making.
After you have collected all documents to go into your publication, come back to the Print Publication Wizard in your Site Links and click on the Next link.
Step 4: Get Publication XML
In step 4 you can delete documents from your publication, go back to step three or get your publication XML. Click the link to get your XML to get your XML. You can also click the link below that will send the XML to your email address.
