Version 1.653 Available

Webonizer 1.653 was released on December 30, 2006. Changes include new administrative icons in the member control panel as well as some new security upgrades (there was a potential risk that we identified and patched in one area of the system).

Another new addition is the built-in HTML tool for making word searches. Webonizer now hosts a Word Search Generator that can be used to create word searches in any website but can also create output for articles in Webonizer websites. A link to this tool is in the HTML Tools link for all members of a Webonizer site.

Another upgrade is a new field in the Site Settings that allows webmasters to change the name given to the "Topics" drop down (the main heading in the navigation for pages who's Link Type is set to "Nav Drop Down"). By default the label is "Topics" but can now be changed to fit the needs of any site. Note that this change will only affect sites using the default template (or custom templates using the default navigation system) whose navigation generator is turned on.

Other upgrades include bug fixes for Topic Names and Area Link Names. Previously, Areas or Topics would fail if slashes or quotation marks were included in certain fields. Webonizer will no longer allow slashes or quotes in those fields.
