Webonizer 1.6 Published

Webonizer has upgraded to Version 1.6 which has many feature enhancements. Most notable is that articles posted after a session timeout are not lost; users who get logged out while filling out an article are asked to log back in--to find that the article form is pre-filled (while the article is saved, media files along with media cutlines are still lost).

Other new changes:

  • Membership and Email posts are no longer checked against the email server lookup. Previously when an email address was added, Webonizer would check to see if the domain hosting an email address had an MX entry--thus protecting random host spam. The MX lookup is still in effect for guestbook posts, but not regular email and membership.
  • Template and CSS file editors have been expanded. New templates, CSS and JavaScript can be added via the site administration with no need for FTP.

Upcoming upgrades include extensive backup and reset utilities as well as a newer and even more advanced visual CSS editor. We are building an attribute/value CSS editor that should work in IE as well as Firefox.
